Battle it out in two tournaments at the GameWorks New Year Brawl! Register today to participate at any of our seven GameWorks esports lounges for a combined $7,000 prize pool! Choose from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate or TEKKEN 7, or join in on the fun of both games. Every GameWorks location has a $1,000 local prize pool ($500 for each game).

1:00 PM: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate & TEKKEN 7 brackets begin
Event space will close after the final bracket has concluded. Games may continue in our esports area.

Venue Fee: $20
Entry Fee: $5 each game

All bracket entry fees go towards the prize pool.

Pot Bonus
Less than 15 Entrants: $250.00
16 or more: $500.00

All prizing is awarded as a percentage of the total prize pool based on the total number of entrants in each bracket.

Prize Distribution
Less than 15 Entrants: 80% / 20%
16 or more: 60% / 25% / 15%

All winners must fill out a prize receipt and W-9. This does requires your social security no.

♦ Rules ♦

Bracket Format: Double elimination. A minimum of 8 players is required for each tournament to begin.

BYOC: This is a "bring your own controller" event. All players are responsible for having a compatible and working controller or arcade stick by the time your tournament match is being called.

Wireless Controllers: All players are responsible for ensuring that their wireless controllers are deleted after each match. You cannot delete your own controller and must have someone else do it for you. Feel free to ask for assistance.

TEKKEN 7 Partial Rules
• All matches are Best 3 of 5 Rounds
• Winner must keep the same character
• The first game's stage is determined via random select. If the loser is keeping the same character, they may pick a stage. If the loser has changed their character, random stage selection must be used.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Partial Rules
• Game Settings: 3 Stock, 7 Minutes
• Starter stages: Battlefield, Final Destination, Pokémon Stadium 2, Smashville, Town And City
• Counter-pick stages: Kalos Pokémon League, Lylat Cruise, Yoshi’s Island (Brawl), Yoshi’s Story

♥ Other ♥

• Outside food and drinks are not allowed
• No money is allowed to change hands inside the venue in accordance with rulings by the Gambling Commission. This, unfortunately means no unplanned brackets with entry fees and no money matches.
